Our doctor's visit this morning didn't go as well as we hoped! I am okay and Lyla is still growing perfectly! She weighs a good 3lbs now! I am on complete bedrest and have to continue to relieve the pressure by keeping my feet elevated. I was hoping things were better and was also hoping to hear that I could get out and about some but that's not the case. They did give me some medicine to help with the contractions. The goal of course is to keep her in another 6-7 weeks. The doctor assured us that the baby will be great and they are taking all of the precautions to make sure she is as healthy as possible no matter when she decides to come! I got a shot today to help her lungs mature quickly and will get another one tomorrow. We will be going back for follow up appointments tomorrow, Friday and Tuesday. They want to closely monitor everything over the next few weeks to make sure it all stays the same.
We did get some precious photos of her face today! It's so sweet to see what she looks like already! We are so excited and really looking forward to being parents :)
Thanks so much for everyone's support and prayers! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and know Lyla will be so happy to meet each of you!

ReplyDeleteJust know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know it must be so hard to lay there....and you just must persist! It was wonderful talking to you last week! Sounds like little Lyla is going to be as fiesty as Cortland! Oh,my goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Lacey! Please know we are praying for your sweet family! We would love to bring you dinner, but don't want to impose, so let us know IF and WHEN you are feeling up for a little company. And if you aren't, that's okay too! We love you all very much!! Katie Cavanaugh
ReplyDeleteHi Lacey, I am so happy for you. I know exactly what you are going through. I was admitted into the hospital at 28 weeks(total bed rest) I wasn't even allowed to get up to go to the bathroom. Noah was delivered at 30 weeks and that was 15 years ago. He is an amazing son and I wouldn't have changed one thing. I love what you are doing with your BLOG and I look forward to hearing more about baby Finnegan. all my love, Jeri
